A person who is texting and driving is twenty-three (23) more times likely to get involved I a crash then someone who is not. (See http://www.nhtsa.gov/). 35 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam ban text messaging for all drivers. This means that an officer can issue a ticket if you are caught driving and texting.
